The Bachelor "Week 6"

This week was hometown dates. First Sean went to Houston to meet Askee's family. The visit seemed to go really well. Her parents were nice and her dad even gave Seanhis blessing if he chooses to propose to Ashlee. I feel bad for her because I feel like she has had a really tough time dealing with things that happened in her childhood and it has led to some serious control issues. I think she is sweet, but not right for Sean.

Sean's next date was in Seattle with Catherine. Her sisters were pretty tough on her. They doubt that Crherine is read to settle down and they weren't shy with their opinions to either Catherine or Sean. Catherine's mom was receptive to Sean, but when he asked for her blessing she skirted around the answer which I don't think he liked.

Sean then visited Lindsey's family on the military base her father, the general, is stationed. Lindsey isn't my favorite, maybe I'm still not over her bad first impression, but she is probably the best fit for Sean. Her mom seemd like the sweetest lady, and even Sean commented that she would be a great mother in law. Lindsey's dad made Sean really nervous, but he was less scary than expected and gave Sean his blessing.

The last date was in LA with Des. They started things off great, but the even was tense. She hired an actor to pretend to be her boyfriend and he showed up telling Des he still loved her and provoked Sean a little. Her prank worked much better than his previous museum one. Desiree's family came over for dinner after that. Her parents were very sweet and soft spoken, her brother on the other hand was not. He told Sean that he could tell Sean wasn't as into Des as she was into him and called Sean a playboy. He ruined everything for Des. I felt sorry for her after that. She could tell Sean was upset, but the damage was done.

Sean had a hard time deciding what to do at this rose ceremony. He said he couldn't decide whether to send home Catherine or Desiree. I thought it was really interesting that he shared his thought process and revealed his front runners (at least as of this week). Before he started handing out roses, Des pulled Sean aside to apologize for their date. That made it hard for Sean to make his final decision, but ultimately he still sent Desiree home. I think he should have sent her when she took him outside to talk instead of making her stand through the rose ceremony. I don't like how he handled this at all. He kept telling her how he wasn't sure of his decision, that he may regret it tomorrow and how much he will miss her. Those things may all be true, but it makes it harder for her to move on which isn't fair. She just kept telling him he was making a mistake. It was hard to watch.

Next week is Thailand. I'm excited for the "Fantasy Suite" episode! I think Ashlee will be the next one to go. And I still like Catherine most, but I think he has more in common with Lindsey.

The Good Wife "Red Team/Blue Team"

This has been a shaky season for The Good Wife, but this episode felt like the quality of previous seasons and I hope it continues.
Lockhart Gardner had been experiencing major financial trouble and decided to offer partnership to all of the fourth years so that their combined buy in would help solve their money trouble. However, things turned around and the partners decided to delay their offers. Alisha and Will got into a heated argument over this and in a moment of weakness kissed! I had only been waiting for that the whole season!
Cary and Alisha come up with a scheme to make the partners nervous that all of the fourth years are jumping ship. Cary even suggests to Alisha that they start their own firm and take their big clients with them. In response the partners offer only Alisha partnership splitting the fourth years. I felt really bad for Cary, I really like him. I don't think this show gives him enough screen time. Maybe that's just leftover feelings from his Logan Huntzberger days on Gilmore Girls. This episode however, showcased him really well.

The Vampire Diaries "Down the Rabbit Hole"

This episode was heartbreaking. I knew it was coming, but even as prepared as I was for Jeremy's death, it was still horrible. Next week looks like it will be really hard to watch. Jeremy was the only family Elena had left. And besides the obvious departure of Jer, we lost Tyler too. I wasn't that sad until I heard that he is leaving the show, and if he does return it will be as a guest star. I wonder why they chose to write him off? My only guess is that it has to do with Klaroline. I am really excited to see what develops there and there was no chance of Caroline and Klaus with Tyler in the picture.

I do miss Damon's bad side sometimes, but I love his sweet and selfless side that we have seen so much of this season. And he still has his hilarious snarky comments like, calling Vaughn Shrek, and Bonnie "Bonnie the Teenage Witch" and saying "Does it look like i know anything about tattoos? look at my skin, its flawless" I don't know why everyone is so shocked when he does something selfless. I think we should be shocked if Stefan ever does something selfless. When Damon told Stefan to leave him and go with Elena, Stefan barely hesitated before jumping down the well. I loved when Damon said "I'm going to find the cure, and give it to the girl I love."

I hope Rebekah and Stefan aren't over, but I'm not sure that she will get over him wanting to give the cure to Elena and he will get over her breaking his neck. We'll see though. Looks like next week Rebekah will be teaming up with Damon, so it might be a while before Stebekah or Delena for that matter are reunited.

I had a feeling that Shane wasn't really as bad as we thought, just doing bad things because he was tricked by his "wife". I feel like there is still a lot that he doesn't know. He gave that headstone away, but Katherine stole it. She must know something about it that Shane doesn't. This is the second time she has taken it.

There are so many questions left unanswered like:

What does Katherine want with the cure and the headstone?

How will Elena cope with losing Jeremy?

What will happen with Silas?

Is there still hope for any of our remaining couples Stebekah, Delena and Klaroline?

Will Silas be affected with the hunter's curse?

Will any of the main characters be cured of vampirism?

I cannot wait to find out! Comment below if you have any theories.

Modern Family 'Heart Broken"

This week's episode was really funny. One of the best in a while. I am in a rush due to Valentine's Day, but I wanted to share a couple of the funniest lines:

"I can make any kind of knot. It's like I have a sailor in my mouth." -Phil

"He's being a real Pritchett." -Gloria

"Sometimes when we're sround them, we feel a little guilty for having found each other...like we're waving our love in their faces." -Cam

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

The Bachelor "Week 6"

Finally Tierra is gone! Thought it might never happen, but Sean got some sense and sent her on her way. Something that has puzzled me with Sean and Tierra, is that she hasn't necessarily been the front runner, sure Sean likes her and gave her the first impression rose, but she hadn't even had a one on one date until this week. And Sean heard from every girl he asked that Tierra was Tierrable and even saw a lot of her craziness first hand, yet he kept her around. In comparison to Ben and Courtney, Ben never saw Courtney acting crazy, she was confident and fun around him and she was the clear front runner. So it made sense why he would be deceived. But either way I'm glad Sean isn't going to end up with Tierra and I'm ready for the show to be about something other than Tierrarism.
Tierra, Lesley and Ashley got one on one dates this week, and Catherine, Lindsey and Desiree went on  group date. Seems like he gave one on ones to the girls he isn't as sure about. I won't get into all of the details, but I will say that I felt bad for Lesley. I really liked her, and I could tell she really wanted things to work with Sean, but it was so forced and awkward. Lindsey got the rose on the group date.
Sean's sister came to visit and talk some sense into him about Tierra. Sean wanted to have Tierra meet his sister, but when he went to get Tierra he walked into turmoil. Ashlee and Tierra had just gotten into a fight. Tierra doesn't ever have a reasonable argument in these situations, despite how smart she always says she is. She just went off about how big her heart is, how she can't control her facial expressions because she hasn't had Botox, and how no one can take away her sparkle! Ok then... At least that part was funny. So after her final meltdown Sean told her it would be best for her to go home. Hallelujah!
At the rose ceremony I thought Ashlee might go home after "throwing Tierra under the bus", but Leslie was the one to go. She was sad, but oddly, Catherine seemed more upset that Lesley did. She said that if Sean doesn't want to be with Lesley, who he has the most in common with, then she questions everything. Weird. Does that mean that Catherine doesn't feel that Sean is the right fit for her? I hope not, she is my favorite. But really I like everyone that is left. I predict that Ashlee will be the next to go.

Grey's Anatomy

I love Grey's but for some reason both last week's and this week's episode are all choppy and the sound and video keep cutting in and out... I will try to watch them and post soon but if not we will just pick up next week with my post.

Sorry!

Scandal “Nobody Likes Babies”

So Pope Associate’s is trying to figure out who tried to kill the President. It wasn’t Hollis and Olivia figures out it was Verna. They know that David has the memory card that proves the election was rigged. Abby steps up and steals it from him after sleeping with him. Cyrus comes clean to his partner about it all but is could be a bad thing because he says he has been indicted and will tell the truth so what does Cyrus do, send someone to kill him. In the end Cyrus does the right thing and tells the shooter not to kill him, which was a good call because he doesn’t tell the truth in court anyway.
The episode ends with Verna’s funeral and it shows her telling Fitz the truth about the rigging. He in turn kills her so she won’t tell David. He then tells Olivia not to wait for him and go with Edison, which is a little late for that advice because she already broke it off with Edison.
The quote I loved from the episode was when Olivia was breaking up with Edison:
Olivia: I don't want normal, and easy, and simple. I want..
Edison: What? What do you want, Olivia?
Olivia: I want painful, difficult, devastating, life-changing, extraordinary love. Don't you want that, too?
Edison: Love is not supposed to be painful or devastating. Love isn't supposed to hurt, Liv.

I love that because her mind is so messed up from being with Fitz that I think she really thinks she deserves to be second choice and a secret. I love Edison for loving her enough to tell her she deserves more. She shouldn’t be in pain or sad and if she is then that isn’t love. The episode ends with Fitz kissing Mellie and telling her it is him and her no one else...

Park’s and Rec “Ann’s Decision”

Ann decides she wants a baby. She looks at a sperm bank but because a creep from work is in their donating sperm they ditch the place. Ann decides she is going to look at all the guys she has dated and ask them to donate. Leslie thinks Ann having a baby on her own is not a great idea. In the end Ann wants “the douche” to be her donor and Leslie supports her because it is nit her life.
Ben enlists Tom, Chris, and Ron to help him find who will cater their wedding. After getting food poisoning they go the JJ’s Diner to feel better and he decided that J.J’s is going to cater.

I love Parks and Rec. It is a fun show to watch and I enjoy it!

The Office “Couples Discount”

Andy is FINALLY back! He looks pretty awesome if I do say so. Longer hair, facial hair, and island clothes. I am excited for him to be back but he is kinda a jerk! He comes in demanding things, telling everyone to get back to work, when he has missed 3 months of work (which David Wallace doesn’t know). David Wallace is coming in because the branch did great in the pat 3 months. Andy is trying to have everyone catch him up on the past 3 months and everyone is pissed at him so they tell him lies. The meeting with David goes fine. After Erin tries to break up with Andy but he convinces her if she will just pretend to be happy she will believe it one day. At the end of the episode Erin is telling Pete she is going to stay with Andy and he says he just wants her to be happy; which makes her kiss him and run up to Andy and say it is over, he has been gone for 3 months and didn’t even try to stay in touch and walks out. The episode ends with David and the phone asking Andy about missing 3 months of work.
Elsewhere with Pam and Jim: Jim is home for Valentine’s Day and they are going to lunch with Brian and his wife. His wife doesn’t show and he proceeds to tell them he and his wife are getting a divorce. That all they did was fight and after they stopped there was nothing left. On their way back to the office Jim tells Pam he is just going to go back to Philly because he doesn’t want to fight with Pam on Valentine’s Day. She tells him to stay and fight. It shows a glimpse of them willing to work at their relationship. I really hope they can fix things because if the series ends with them NOT together I will be pissed!

Hart of Dixie "Take Me Home, Country Roads"

For a doctor, Zoe can be really stupid sometimes. It can be part of her charm, but when she treats Wade badly it drives me crazy. In this episode she makes a remark to him about not knowing what it's like to have a career. If that really bothers her so much I think she needs to move on. Or else she just needs to accept him for the sexy, sweet bartender that he is.
Annabeth keeps blowing Lavon off because she wants to tell Lemon before anything else happens, but she accidentally reveals to Lavon that Lemon might still be in love with him and when she finally tells Lemon things do not go over well. We see a little of the Season 1 Lemon that we all know and don't love so much. Even though she has her new man she doesn't want Lavon to move on and feels that she can't trust Annabeth. Poor Annabeth, she tries so hard to be a good friend to Lemon and can never seem to please her. She even told Lavon nothing can happen between them until Lemon can trust her again. I can't wait until the day that Annabeth stands up for herself and stops letting Lemon control her. Annabeth deserves some happiness.
Things also happened with George and Tanzy, and other Brelands but I will wait and talk about that when it catches my interest a little more. No new episode next week, this is really the only show besides TVD that makes me sad when it goes on break. I think I can handle one week though.

New Girl "Table 34"

After last week's New Girl excitement I saw lots of people tweeting that New Girl is soon to be the best comedy on TV, and I believe it. Maybe that's me being hopeful that it will stay great and keep getting better, but so far it hasn't disappointed me. LC, my Televisionista friend is a huge Zooey Deschanel fan and she gave up on New Girl mid season last year. I don't understand it, but don't worry I will keep pestering her until she watches it. That is my greatest talent, pestering people into TV watching. Sorry, that was off subject, back to the show now.
So this was the first episode after the big, I mean HUGE Jess and Nick kiss last week, and it was a little anti-climatic. I just want to see more Jess and Nick though. I do understand from a storytelling standpoint that this needs to be dragged out as long as possible so that we all go crazy and can't stop watching. It's never a good idea to give TV couples a happily ever after or even put them together too soon. Before you know it they will be Stefan and Elena and we will all be snoozing.  Jess and Nick both tried to hide their feelings for each other, but I don't think either of them are convinced. The strategy is working New Girl writers, I'm officially hooked now.
Schmidt was hilarious as always and he and CeCe hooked up again. I love them almost as much as I love Jess and Nick. This show is amazing, even if it isn't widely regarded as the best comedy on TV yet, I think it is my favorite. Sorry The Office, Parks and Rec, Big Bang and Modern Family. You're great and all, but that Jess and Nick kiss was too good. New Girl is giving you all a run for your money.

The Bachelor "Week 5, Part 2"

Part 2 was even better that part 1. Can Tierra please go home already though? Usually when there is a contestant I hate like Bentley or Courtney at least I can laugh at the ridiculousness and drama, but Tierra just frustrates me. I am no longer entertained, it's time for her to stop getting roses!
The first date was a one on one with Catherine. It was about time Sean got to spend sometime with her. I really like Catherine, but I keep thinking she will go home because she hasn't had a lot of screen time. Their date looked pretty miserable, it was freezing and windy. Sean's hair was completely turned to ice and their faces were bright red and frozen. But they did get to hang out in a pretty awesome ice castle so I guess that part of the date was good. She opened up to him about her childhood and got a rose.
The group date included Ashlee, Tierra, Lesley, Lindsey, Selma, Daniella and Sarah. They did what is called the "polar bear plunge". They jumped into freezing cold water and most of the girls had fun with it, Tierra however, used this as another opportunity to fake an injury. Interesting that they all did the same thing and everyone was just fine except for her. She said she had hypothermia and played the part well. Only flaw was that Sean told her to stay home and rest and not come to the party.... Well that didn't really help her get the quality time with Sean she was looking for, so she got ready and showed up to the party miraculously cured and wearing heels on her frostbitten toes. Ugh! Can Sean not see through her yet?
At the party that evening Sarah showed Sean some pictures of her growing up and said she would love for him to meet her family. Sean wasn't feeling it and rather that keep her around until the ring ceremony he sent her home. I felt really bad for Sarah when she said that his reason for breaking things off is the same reason she is always given, that she is a great girl but there wasn't a connection.
Lesley received the rose tonight, which shocked Tierra! Lesley deserved it though, she had a great attitude all day and stood out during the date, without being crazy or including any paramedics. BTW below is a picture of the lovely Tierra:
The last date was with Desiree, her second one on one date. Tierra and Daniella still haven't gotten a one on one. Hopefully that means we won't be seeing much more of them. Des and Sean repelled down a 400 ft mountain, had a picnic, did some tree climbing and then sat in a tepee and talked. It was a much better interaction than what the two of them had the previous episode, but maybe not as good as the first date. I still like Des, but some of the other girls are catching up to her in my opinion. She did get a rose, so she was safe at the rose ceremony.
At the rose ceremony Selma and Daniella went home. That was expected I think. Selma finally kissed him and still went packing, hopefully her mom will forgive her. Next week the six remaining girls and Sean will travel to St. Croix. I am guessing that Lesley and Ashlee will be the next to go.

The Bachelor "Week 5, Part 1"

This week we get not one, but two episodes of The Bachelor! In part one of this week's Bachelor event, Sean and the girls went to Montana. Sean took Lindsey on a one on one, Tierra and Jackie on a two on one date and the rest of the girls on a group date.
Sean and Lindsey took a helicopter ride to a picnic. And then to a Sarah Darling concert in downtown Whitefish They stood on this platform above the rest of the crowd and danced. Is it just me or is that a little weird? I'm still surprised that she is sticking around after that first impression, but she seems like a sweet girl. Lindsey left with a rose.

I don't know who is in charge of the group dates this season, but they aren't great. The girls were divided into two teams and had to compete in a "Montana wilderness relay", which included milking a goat and drinking the milk.Disgusting! The winning team wins more time with Sean and the losers go back to the hotel. I thought for sure that the blue team was going to win, but they somehow lost it.
Sean decided that his relay race wasn't the way to find his wife and invited the blue team back. There must be someone in that group he has his eye on, could be Ashlee, Catherine, Lesley or Daniella. The red team wasn't thrilled about this especially when a blue team member snatched up the rose. Daniella saw Catherine sitting on Sean's lap and started crying and he comforted her by giving her the rose. Sean really likes being the savior, must be why Tierra is still around.
None of the girls wanted the two on one date, obviously. But when Tierra found out she was going she said she was excited and argued that it was a good thing. But, when the blue team was invited back on their date Tierra's other personality appeared and she just had to go see Sean. I guess that was her strategy to win the rose, and I'm sad to say it worked. Jackie made the mistake of discussing Tierra with Sean, and she was sent packing. I don't think she really stood a chance anyways, but bringing up the other girls is NEVER a good idea.

At the rose ceremony Robyn and Catherine confronted Tierra bout how she ignores the other girls until the cameras or Sean are around and then all of the sudden she wants to be friendly. She got very defensive and didn't really have a response. Sean did walk by at one point and saw a little of Tierra's freak out and it caused him to really question things. He started asking the girls and none of them wanted to get into the specifics and so he said he didn't know what to think. Maybe he should go back and watch Ben's season and see if he thinks the girls had reason to not like Courtney or if they were just jealous of her. Anyhow, Tierra, Lindsey and Daniella were safe this week and Robyn went home. I think she would have likely gone home anyways but him seeing her argue with Tierra didn't help her any. I'll be back tomorrow to recap the next episode, I am guessing that Daniella and Selma will be leaving us...

How I Met Your Mother "P.S. I Love You"

This week's episode of HIMYM was chuck full of pop culture references, which made the pop culture junkie inside of my extremely giddy.

First and foremost the title itself is a reference to the romantic comedy starring Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler. Then there was a reference to another rom-com, The Holiday. When Ted is talking about how he met the girl on the train, he says it's a meet cute, something that is talked about a lot in The Holiday.

Then a reference to Harry Potter. When Barney is sitting in Robin's room reading her journals, he says that it is ridiculous, except he says it "riddikulus" like the well-know boggart-repelling spell in Harry Potter.

The next one is a bit of a stretch, but there always has to be a subtle Friends reference in HIMYM. In this episode, it comes when Ted is talking to Jeanette in a British accent and says "it's hard to stop." Phoebe does the exact same thing in Friends with her Posh accent when she's meeting Mike's parents.

And of course there's the main reference that runs through the entire show: the Dobler versus Dahmer theory. This references John Cusack's character Lloyd Dobler from Say Anything and famous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer to compare crazy romantics to just plain crazies.

And I saved my very favorite for last :) my latest Netflix obsession has been Dawson's Creek and there were not one, but TWO DC references in this episode! First we had Dawson himself (James Van Der Beek) guest starring in the episode as Robin's ex-boyfriend Simon. Then when they showed a list of who could possibly be Robin's old stalkee, Joshua Jackson was on the list! It was just too great.

Besides the plethora of pop culture references, there was one other great thing that happened this week. At the end of the episode, Ted says that before you meet the person you're going to marry, you make one last mistake and that mistake for him was Jeanette. That means that the next woman he dates should be the mother! It's getting so close, I can't wait!

Scandal “Truth or Consequences”

This episode has Olivia kinda down and she won’t get out of bed after Cyrus convinces her that he will take care of it and she can relax. The team works together to figure out what is up with Olivia. They all find out the big secret, that Hollis set the elections up to have Fitz win. Huck goes to Olivia to tell her the news. She tells him that Cyrus is taking care of it and Huck lets Olivia know that when Cyrus says he is “taking care of it”, it means he has someone that will kill him. This is just too much for Olivia who is supposed wear the “White Hat” and stand for what’s right So she turns him in to David about trying to kill the President. They find a phone in Hollis’ office that called Becky (the shooter). It isn’t enough so the team tries to find the money that was wired to Becky. They find the money BUT it wasn’t Hollis who paid her. We don’t know yet who did. Hollis gets release and at the end of the episode it shows Cyrus’ guy getting into the elevator with Hollis.

In this episode Fitz also tells Mellie that he wants a divorce. She won’t stand for that so what does she do? Induces labor so he will stand by her side and hopefully come back around to Mellie.

Next week is going to be intense because hopefully these questions will be answered:
1. Who wanted to kill the President?
2. Will Olivia marry Edison?
3. Will Fitz get a divorce?
4. Will Hollis be murdered?
5. Will David find out who set up the election?

I love this show and it is my 2nd favorite show on T.V right now. I know Edison is the better choice for Olivia- mainly because he is the President who is married, with kids. If Fitz wasn't married of course they would be together but I'm not sure if he will divorce Mellie. He does seem to want to do what he wants after his brush with death. I think because of almost dying he would risk it all to be with Olivia but I don't think Olivia will let him do that.
